A terrorist is a person that kills members of another country for no actual reason. They have killed people? You mean they made political threats that have no real meaning when it comes from basement dwelling teens.
That's not true at all, a terrorist is someone who pursues political goals using violence and intimidation.
Terrorist would be more physical violence, while terrorism by itself can be more verbal violence. I honestly don't care for this subject at all. So i'm leaving it at that.

They claimed there was a bomb on a US plane.

Just a threat can lead to 10 years in prison. Even for a basement dwelling teen. One of them was 17 years of age and can be tried as an adult. I think the other was over 18.

If someone was harmed as a result of the threat, then that would have been 20 years. Killed people? That is added on as a murder for each person killed.
I would have never thought that some geeky computer dudes would ever make such a threat.

I remember I read the IGN's article and I think it is their goal is to get their attention from us, because we ignored them and didn't care about them.

Other articles say they were using it as a demo to try and sell a DDOS service. Show how effective it is against large companies and get people to pay to use it.

Sounds like, they're selling it to make their profit. But it sounds stupid becuase I'm not going to pay for it otherwise they would scam them.

If they would go DDOS to attack gaming companies, then it would damage and cost no more than million dollars. Possibly more.

Overloading a server can damage things? I thought it just shut them down.

If they overheat too quickly trying to deal with all the junk being sent to them, they can be damaged. Some components may even get fried.

I'll see if I can find the article.

It turns out they were horrible at their own security. Their clients information was left wide open for anyone to view and they basicaly stold the code fome some other DDOS service.

Edit:

Here you go.

Didn't the British police arrest one of those rats? Heard one got arrested and bailed (which in this case is loosely translated as 'ratted out his friends to the cops'...

I did read an article and there is another one was arrested too.

"Tell them ruin has come to their world. Death, despair and red war...Tell them their hopes and pride have come to nothing. Tell them their empty whispers fall upon deaf ears - their gods are dead, human reason has killed them. Tell them the Angels of Death have come. Tell them nothing can save them now."
