What software do you hate the most?
Lately, having tried more software that sucks less (wink), I don't have quite many examples. I would probably say anything developed by Microsoft. Too many unnecessary components, network connections and otherwise a bloated and exclusively commercial experience.

What do you think? Is the new Steam Library implementation too much? Do you dislike barebones or (overly) feature-rich software?

I hate software that give you very little options.
Winrar bad just use 7zip.
I tried itunes exactly once, and then spent a week reorganizing and cataloguing my collection back to my original system after the damn thing shuffled it all and contaminated the files with idtags and thumbnails without asking.

Let no one ever say only music pirates despise Apple and their junk or DRM as a concept in general. ♥♥♥♥ YOU AMAZON, I WILL NEVER BUY YOUR BOOKS OR USE YOUR STREAMING VIDEO.

Interesting timing.

I do have something else important to add. Modern browsers. One's intentions are too clear, the other being a botched Frankenstein monster of its old self and its competitor. In all the wrong ways.

Used to use GIMP often, enjoyed the hell out of it. The newer versions have a different system of moving items and layers and I can't get it to move what I am selecting.
I'm not sure what software i hate the most, probably software that gives me pop ups and ads or keeps wanting me to allow it through my firewall.

Usually i don't install much software and try to keep my systems running as clean as possible.

Any software that is not a service, yet still requires an annually paid license to use.

once you get into Trackers you can never go back! Never had a better time making music than when I switched over from DAWs to Trackers. I still use DAWs but very minimally for overly specific purposes or features.

That's what I typically go with.

One of the main things that come to mind is Jetbrains Rider, which is a .NET code editor that I keep hearing over and over again about how it's the best thing since sliced bread.
But, it requires an annually paid licence, and that alone makes me not care how great it supposedly is.

If it was a one-time payment for a perpetual license, then sure, I might consider it, but I'm not going to keep paying endlessly for the "privilege" of being able to run a piece of software that doesn't cost the publishers anything to keep it running.
