I have an answer- but it's probably not the intended one:

Only include the final column.

22 to 12= -10
12 to 24= +12
24-10 Yields 14.

There are all kinds of similar non-intended solutions using these silly means.

Do I get a half point for this?

Great puzzle. Hard, but fair. I was so close too. I was trying to add to a*c, not subtract, then multiply. I figured the answers were factors too e.g. 11*2=22, but I couldn't get to 11 with the first equation - because I was too stupid. Dammit brain.
