More like less then normal sale prices. There are only a few good deals, with very limited quantities, to get people in there.
-----
I've only ever been to one Black Friday sale. It is not worth it. Even for PC parts. I'd rather do Cyber Monday or just look for better deals on-line after Christmas.
ZOMBIES! ARRR - It's like that movie with the rage virus... I'm pretty sure that they just film it all to make some awesome zombie movies.

It's the darkest day, in other places like here, it's merely an online sales frenzy (normally Cyber Monday instead). We just sit at a computer in our pj boxers, researching first about what we buy, then clicking a single button to make the purchase.
You would have better luck getting PC parts during Cyber Monday.
Only an idiot would take their kids to one of these sales. Even I take things slow while in them. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Walmart, i'm going to take my time and if I miss it then i'll look for the item on the internet.
The tablet and 3DS prices are okay, so I am going to try to get either one of those.
Anyway...like any sale, if it's something you've been wanting for a while and the BF price means you can justify spending for it, why not. Other than that ... to me, it means nothing. I rarely need/want something during a sale and I don't spend just because "sale."
Black Friday uses door buster deals to get people there, which only the first few get, then the others since they have been waiting around for so long, will still continue and purchase other products while there. It's again basic marketing for those who don't know any better and starts impulse purchasing.
The stupid thing is Black Friday was original a negative term, until marketing got hold of it and found a lot of profit (to even have people kill each other over).

Anyway, yes, BF is your basic marketing technique to get people in the door. Limited quantities, leading to huge lines before store opens, trying to grab impulse shoppers, crazed shoppers, etc.
I rarely go retail shopping during holiday periods. It's a madhouse. 8-)
Seeing a bunch of idiots trample each other and get into fist fights never gets old.
Meanwhile, I'll have my stuff delivered to my front door.

well, first you have to get your party together, make sure they are all equipped for the raid and leveled up for the dungeon/store you are entering, and everyone knows their role, like tanks being tanks and scouts not thinking "Leeeeerroyyyy"... :)
Not sure what to get this Black Friday, maybe i can pick up a good sale again.
Disclaimer: I work retail so I hate you all.
