If one person acts a certain way and makes tons of money off it, then everyone else that wants to make a quick buck will try to ride that style of popularity till the next "original" person comes out. But until then youtube is the realm of screamers and over-reactors.
I just wish there was a way to filter out "let's plays" entirely... Youtube was kinda neat before all the "let's play" video fad took over.
Same thing goes for videogames and movies and everything else it seems. People don't want to take risks, but the ones that do, and somehow make it, end up getting copied like crazy.
If a game makes a billion dollars then you can assume there will be tons like it coming out over the next few years. If a movie makes a ton of money then there will be tons like it. In the marketing world, it is called "trending".
Pretty much every let's player has some sort of screamer. Markiplier, Game Grumps, the Rooster Teeth crew, Angry joe, and whatever else, I know because my significant other likes that stuff and I'm constantly telling him to put his damn headphones on. And it is almost always some sort of over-reatcion to something that would never make any "normal" person act in the way they do... Because that is what it is... Acting.
He's like a little girl. Squealing at everything and making unfunny remarks. Atleast, that was what he was like the first 30 seconds of one of his videos I watched many moons ago. I doubt he's changed though. He's getting too much money for that.
The exact level of insight one would expect from a PewDiePie fan with the username "gamingguy" and a stock avatar.
Anyway, if you don't like loudness in gaming YouTubers, I suggest Northernlion. He's pretty chill.
