What is it with the "scream" trend on YouTube?
Seriously, every let's play channel just showcases some idiot who yells, screams, and gets annoyed at every little thing in a pathetic attempt at humor.

I can't even sit through the intro to one of these videos without going deaf (jacksepticeye comes to mind).

And, I am unable to find the video in mind, but someone (I think it was DashieGames), in very helpful fashion, put [HILARIOUS] in the title of their video. In addition, the game they were playing was Mario Party 10. Even so, they could not seem to keep their temper under control on the character select screen.

You have Pewdiepie to thank for that , he is the wealthiest youtube gamer and that's all he does in his video. People try to copy his winning formula
Lead by example.

If one person acts a certain way and makes tons of money off it, then everyone else that wants to make a quick buck will try to ride that style of popularity till the next "original" person comes out. But until then youtube is the realm of screamers and over-reactors.

I just wish there was a way to filter out "let's plays" entirely... Youtube was kinda neat before all the "let's play" video fad took over.

Same thing goes for videogames and movies and everything else it seems. People don't want to take risks, but the ones that do, and somehow make it, end up getting copied like crazy.

If a game makes a billion dollars then you can assume there will be tons like it coming out over the next few years. If a movie makes a ton of money then there will be tons like it. In the marketing world, it is called "trending".

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥,Screaming?I believe you are talking about laughter a indeed human emotion,I dunno who the hell you are watching...

Pretty much every let's player has some sort of screamer. Markiplier, Game Grumps, the Rooster Teeth crew, Angry joe, and whatever else, I know because my significant other likes that stuff and I'm constantly telling him to put his damn headphones on. And it is almost always some sort of over-reatcion to something that would never make any "normal" person act in the way they do... Because that is what it is... Acting.

He's like a little girl. Squealing at everything and making unfunny remarks. Atleast, that was what he was like the first 30 seconds of one of his videos I watched many moons ago. I doubt he's changed though. He's getting too much money for that.

The exact level of insight one would expect from a PewDiePie fan with the username "gamingguy" and a stock avatar.

They are just appealing to their demographic. Kids think the screaming is funny. I don't get it myself, but that is why I don't use youtube for reviews or anything.
If you want a Youtuber who doesn't scream when facing fear and instead makes sexual jokes about them go watch Cr1TiKaL or his username Penguinz0.

Not all let's players scream like a goat, it's just that all the huge ones do. A lot of the smaller ones that I watch are actually kind of sensible.

While it's rather clear that Markiplier and PewDiePie and a whole load of others are faking their screams and stuff, the guy you mention (jacksepticeye) seems fairly genuine in his loudness.

Anyway, if you don't like loudness in gaming YouTubers, I suggest Northernlion. He's pretty chill.

Kikoskia is a good Lets player who doesn't scream, but the reason YouTubers scream is because it attracts kids and money.

The internet needs more actual screaming

I think little kids are captivated by loud noises
