Anyone Using Steelcase Gesture Chair?
I'm looking for a real high end gaming chair; budget $1,200.

Steelcase Gesture Chair[store.steelcase.com]

If you're using Steelcase Leap, let me know what you think about that.

No, because I'm not an idiot who'll pay thousands for an item that has "Gaming™" slapped on the front of it, while it's probably not much different from a normal chair.

._. $1,200? For a chair? That doesn't even have, like, a cupholder or something?

And how many guys did they have to fire to get entire offices full of those chairs in the pictures shown?
lol!

$1,200?

For a computer chair?

Unless it is made of gold, brews coffee, vibrates, and gives BJs, totally not worth it.

I bought a high backed and winged black and red cowhide leather office chair with shiny brass tackwork and an all metal with rosewood caster ball base, that looks like something a James Bond villian would use, that I call "The Principal's Chair" and it was hand made in the USA in the early 1980s, and it only cost me $25 at a garage sale, and it will last longer than I will live.

A $1200 plastic crap "gamer" chair will likely not last more than 5 years of heavy use.

I called it "gaming," but there is no "gaming" slapped on the chair. It is a very high end office chair.

And yes, this is luxury chair.

For conspicuous consumption you might as well be sitting on milk crates.

What I'm looking for is a very high end multi-purpose office chair, not a gaming system.

You misunderstand.

For 40K all you get is the chair. A gaming system and monitors would be extra.

I know. Not everyone has the money to throw away at a luxury items but it doesn't apply to everyone. You go on ahead and enjoy your $25 dolla chair. I'm just a very fortunate person who has the money to spend on luxury items.

Not interested. It looks like I'd fall asleep in that chair before I tap a key on the keyboard.

But for an extra 7K you can put it on a rotating pedestal... something to think about.

Enough of your sarcasm.

Lol you know, smart middle class and poor people came up with the term "Luxury" to slap on every crappy thing so dumb rich idiots would waste their money on it thinking that just because it cost more, somehow made it better than something that cost less and is "actually" better.

Spending more does not always equal better quality.

Have fun wasting money, I make a mint off of people like you that want me to do a "luxury" wash and wax and detail of their "luxury" cars for many hundreds of dollars per car, while I charge only $80-100 to do the exact same thing with the exact same products for "normal" people. ^_^

Woah! Now that is a gaming chair!!... I mean sure I could make the exact same thing myself with a quick raid of a junk yard and my welding tools about about $1000 worth of used electronics or pay someone $1000 to do it for me.

But wait....

Does it give BJs and brew coffee?

I like how some people mock gaming chairs...

Yet they will spend more on replacing their budget chairs which fall apart ever 6 months or pay out more for an office chair.

While, yes some can be a waste of cash, it all depends what kind of quality you are getting and how long it will last. Picking a chair you are going to sit in for the next several year, you might want to research up a good one at least.

ps: Steelcase Gesture Chair, isn't actually even labelled a gaming chair and costs $1200 (as an office chair). Yet, the DXRacer series is a gaming chair and goes for half that price, yet has the same or even better quality of an office chair (it's basically a racing car seat on an office chair).

For gaming and some style - try a DXRacer chair. They are very good quality and comfort, just make sure you get one to fit your height and body type.

If you want cheap instead, then either go really, really bulky, or just a bean bag, etc. Else you will get zero real back support or just find it falling apart on you.

You can get a pedestal to rotate it to compensate for monitor glare for a few dollars more, and the speakers are built in, but no other extras.

My idea of "chair research" is putting my arse in it and seeing what it feels like instead of reading things myself. Unforunately, no, I have never sat in one. :(
