you know there even serious articles that describe how COD almost ruined a whole generations of FPS games.
I din't say it ... so don't flame me , it's from someone else.

If peoples would shoot down every game for being a clone or too similar to something else then there would be almost no games on steam since almost all game are nothing completly Original and used previous games as an inspiration or template to build their own gameplay structures.
then minecraft itself is a clone of another game that came before it , I don't remember the name but it's easy to find out on google.
Calling any cube-based sandbox game where you build a "Minecraft clone" is like referring to every FPS as a "Wolfenstein 3D clone." I couldn't even begin to name all the third-person action-adventure titles that could be called clones as well.
The point is that games take ideas, concepts, and even visuals, from each other and (hopefully) expand on it or at least offer some form of competition within the gaming market.
Besides, now that Minecraft is owned by Microsoft, it might turn out to be a good thing that there are alternatives available.
since they have borrowed several ideas from minecraft
To me its like a game developer making a pong game as a first project then submitting it as a brand new game.
@Lemonfed I disagree. You cant compare RO2 with COD or COD with Counter Strike because they are different themes. However, you could compare all of the COD games since they are virtually the same haha.
Why?
thru RO2 and COD do share a similar theme , yes they're both war games ... the first few call of duty where WW2 FPS with some Historical background like RO2 and rising storm are ,
you know not only that but we could say that the very first COD is a clone of Medal of honors allied assault , both game had the same ww2 theme , same gameplay and even visually they looked very similar since they used the same graphics engine (quake III arena engine in this case)
.. tell steam to remove the first COD and it's expention pack , they're defenitly clones of Medal of honor allied assault and they're clearly frauds.
(at the time back in 2004-2005 there where many proffesionals reviewers that complained there was too many WW2 themed games just to say)
I'm not being very serious but that show's how much I find that bashing certain game for looking too much like minecraft is absurb.
