The developers also will most like bring Destiny to PC after they maximize console sales.
Honest Game Trailer For Destiny:

They are not MMO games.
Technically, neither is Destiny. Hence the suggestion as they are so very similar in mechanics and operation.
There is only ONE way in which Destiny differs in any real way compared to Borderlands and that is a lack of offline mode. In all other respects, they are the closest games to Destiny; more so than any other, in all probability.
Furthermore, note the OP CLEARLY references Borderlands: Pre Sequel in his post.
But Borderlands is essentially destiny, Or destiny is a borderlands clone wrapped in a halo skin.
Thank you for being more succinct than I :)
It's basically Borderlands with
1) Higher player limit (16 vs 4)
2) Automated matchmaking/drop in capabilities
One thing Destiny has over Borderlands
1) Colorblind users are more readily accomodated since the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ COLORS DONT MEAN JACK.
I'd say it's the latter, except Borderlands is a better game all around with way more content.
Note: I have not played Destiny, but judging by the reviews and what everyone I've spoken with has told me, the above is true.
Console players seem to enjoy destiny a bit more, Borderlands imo is a great series of games and really enjoyable playing online coop but i know people that did not like borderlands so much but are currently hooked on destiny.
If only they toned down the health the enemies had it could have been a lot more fun for me and my brother. Because unless you have Godlike weapons at level 50+ you're not gonna have fun.
Bullet sponges, I hate them. Almost as bad as Oblivion.
Once again, I find myself agreeing with you absolutely.
I thoroughly enjoyed Borderlands, and to a degree, 2. However, I've since gone back a couple of times on both of them, and it would appear that on both my first run throughs on each game, I got relatively lucky with the guns (especially on 2).
I really think on principle, it's a strength to have such a ridiculous number of guns, as it encourages you to dwell on most pickups, and make such loot more meaningful on the whole, compared to a lot of RPGs. However, what I have found from these playthroughs is that with such a large number, if you don't get a good run of luck on gun drops, as you rightly say, you can be utterly screwed and often for a bloody long time.
And indeed, when you tackle that New Game+ with the level 50s and over, if you haven't got it right, forget it.
From what I've seen of Destiny, I'd say I'm not surprised a lot of people who didn't enjoy Borderlands like it, as it appears (to me) to take away the anal nth degree of stat-considering that Borderlands has. It's more "jump in and go", which I can appreciate.
