and why?

Minecraft on a LAN is always really good to play, collaborating with your mates on a project of stupid proportions. It fosters discussion, while also being casual enough that you can talk about other things while you're playing.

What I also still love at LANs is BF1942, especially if you're dogfighting. Taunting your mate that you're going to bomb him mid-air loses something when its over the internet.

I was thinking more like same-screen multiplayer e.g: Gang Beasts, Brawlhalla, Battleblock Theater, ect.

LAN gaming, it has to be Red Alert 2/Yuri Revenge. Me an the misses love coming back to that game.

Local as in one screen, Lare croft and the Guardian of light. Great big screen PC gaming.

Any worms game is good fun, but currently my favorite is CRAWL. Followed by gang beasts, not 2.0

Is CRAWL any good for two people or do you need more?
my favorite LAN and BNET multiplayer non-steam games are starcraft: broodwar and diablo 2: lod (1999-2006). partly yuri's revenge on LAN only.

sadly, i have not played LAN since 2006 as most of my real life gaming friends are in the cities now or where their job lie and i am back in my mountain hide out.

i have not played any LAN steam games.
i only have a few games in my steam library. i am not even aware if some can be played LAN (except l4d1 and l4d2?).

maybe when my asus and evga gtx 960 arrive, i will play LAN games with my nephews when they come visit me during summer break. \
it is summer time in the philippines (though we are expecting a typhoon to hit landfall tomorrow)

I'm not looking for LAN games, people. Just same-screen multiplayer; thanks.

My brother and I play it quite frequently, lots of yelling and pushing usually ensues. So I'd say it's good with 2 people. But of course the more the merrier, and the AI can be pretty brutal too.

The number of games that can be played by 2 players on the same computer are few and far between, hence why LAN games are being mentioned.

Its growning, but most are console ports.

Child of Light - a hit with the opposite sex and you get to be naturally close to them as you control the second...entity as a second player with the mouse.
GLO BOY GOAT Apr 3, 2015 @ 9:03pm
Starwars battlefront 2. that game was one of the best of its time so fun to play in a lan
Hopper Apr 3, 2015 @ 9:24pm
Nidhogg for same screen
The original Starcraft, and much of the Command And Conquer series. Great for oldschool LAN parties... Especially when booze gets involved.
