Although there could be more expensive games, that's just the first i thought of. Any game with heaps of DLC probably could come in close or even more expensive!
i just realised you asked the most expensive "thing" though, not necessarily game. So, i actually bet there is Software on Steam that's more expensive, that's probably the area where the most expensive "thing" will be found.

Scrolling down to the DLC that's now mostly all 50% off it still says if you buy all the DLC you will be spending $2,437.31 soooo imagine full price >.< And i thought Sims 3 was expensive with all it's DLC.
