Also megaman died cos it didn't sell. Hate to say it but it's the truth. I wouldn't expect more than the mobile treatment for him either.
Naughty Dog has pretty much said they are done with "kids games" and toons in multiple interviews. No more Crash, no more Jak and Daxter, at least not by Naughty Dog.
I mean that the sales of megaman just didn't justify the amount of games they released. Though that's probably Capcom's fault for releasing so many and not really giving any the budget to stand out.
Yes Jak and Daxter got high score until lost frontier it kinda dropped. It maybe caused by low budget because they were currently developing TLoU.
Also TLoU sold well and recieve GOTY in 2013.
Megaman,Darkstalkers,Dino Crisis and a lots more all gone.Right now they are only focused on Resident Evil and Street Fighter franchise and this is really bad, especially for Resident Evil which become an action game instead of a survival horror..
Erm... Capcom didn't make Metroid. I think they made the one on GBA but they don't own the IP so if you want to see another one ask Nintendo.
And Capcom focus on what sells. It's the harsh reality of the gaming industry. Even RE6 which was widely panned sold millions worldwide. As much as many of the games you mentioned were better games they also didn't sell well enough.
