Eminem is an outlier. The Beastie Boys kinda.

I'm sure that there are some young white rappers today who are in high-school or in their 20s and are very good. We just haven't heard of these rappers yet.

Skin colour is irrelevant. Good rap is good rap, but there are more black rappers than other races, so there's a higher likelihood of being good within that trope. Eminem is good and happens to be white, so he was sensationalised a lot more

Never could stand rap, I think Vanilla Ice made some waves during the 80's or early 90's but that didn't last. There were a FEW other successful popular short lived rap bands too. The hip hop gimmick.

I think MOST rap was about as publicized as Punk Rock. They had their fan bases but they were small compared to OTHER audiences and OTHER genres. By small I mean percentages not high numbers that would make it SEEM large to some.
