Ai generated stuff
Anyone tried using AI generating tools online? Currently playing with pixverse and suno and I'm surprised that I got a lot of good results with just a few words. I am speechless and scared at the same time. AI will take over everything soon.

I did, I used to be a creator on Patreon who used CivitAI to create NSFW AI generated Futa stuff...

Well... before a bugged Windows update screwed me over and destroyed my entire 80+ GB archive.

yeah, I mean you kinda get forced on some sites like Google and Tiktok with the AI summary thing
I don't do it often but I've gotten some cute art from it uwu

I've tried it before, but the novelty wore off quickly as I realized that everything I generated just felt like yet another haphazard recombination of the same pieces; eventually you start to crave real art that has intention and thought put into its design.

I tried using Copilot to generate a side-on view of an NA Miata front fender, but it couldn't do it. It'd only generate 3/4 profile pics.

My experience with using AI generation tools on my computer is like my experience with a certain site that is essentially one big hacking tutorial. In regards to that site I initially failed the Idiot Test only to come back to it later and pass both that and the next six tests. Then I hit a wall and have been unable to progress.

Which is to say, initially I mucked up the most basic ♥♥♥♥ in getting the tools running then decided to take a break. Then I came back to it, got it running, but then hit more snags which in turn have convinced me to not bother with it for the time being.

It probably helps that while I know a bit on scripting, hex codes and typing commands into a console I sure as ♥♥♥♥ do not know how to code and I probably don't have the means to train an AI to make what I want, how I want. Or the knowhow, for that matter.

Other people can make what they want with AI, I guess. It is a tool like any other and I hope that the luddites whose idea of progress is a return to candlelight and horse-drawn carriages don't do what they do best and hold society back with their inherent fear of nuance and innovation.
Ran a number locally to see strain on hardware.

No worries, technology is inherently self-destructive. Luddites only have to wait and laugh at the tech-bros trying to nuke the seabed or destabilizing Earth's extremely sensitive hydrological cycle.

You can disable the javascript from those AI summaries, in PC & Android smartphones. Dunno about Iphone & Mac and consoles, etc.

My dad used it to create a logo for his company then had me edit it to look better. It turned out good and didn't look AI generated.

…No I'm pretty sure that change and innovation are neither malign nor benign. It's the consequences of said change and the results of said innovation which in turn determine that. Doesn't mean you stop with the innovation and instead intentionally stagnate society though.

Plus, the artists who complain about their art being used should probably understand that the minute they put something out online it's there for everyone and anyone. That if they didn't want their art to be used online they wouldn't post it there to begin with. But these are people who don't create for the sake of creating, they create for the sake of their ego and their bank account.

Don't even get me started on the state and the doddering dusty dotards who still to this day think that the internet is just a series of tubes. The gerintocracy needs to install Gentoo.
