Movie critics hate Snow White (2025)
It's sitting at a 46% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's less than mediocre.

No one wants live action remakes of the animations. Live action blows. We want more animation. I want Snow White to be an anime chick in a giant robot shooting lasers at dragons. Make it happen.

Live-Action remakes are bad when the company making them doesn't care about the source material or making a good movie.

live action remakes of cartoons/anime are by and large ♥♥♥♥. there are a few examples of it translating well, but the vast majority sucks.

but animation, especially 2D animation, is expensive and time consuming to make even though much of the process has moved to digital format. and companies do not like spending money, so we will have to suffer more live action garbage instead of beautiful animation.
Not surprising, but really why do people rage about soulless corporate slop from big budget remakes when so few people support genuinely creative and expressive art in low budget / indie films.

Support the change you want to see!

So we don't keep getting the same slop from the same studios over again. It's the same issue with the gaming industry. We keep getting mediocre crap from large gaming studios, but no one wants to say anything negative about these games because they have some political message.

You're still giving it publicity by talking about it so much though. If you really hate something and don't want to see it, pay no attention to it like it doesn't exist.

And who wants to pay for a movie disliked by critics? People who are ignorant are more likely to see it.
It would've been better if it was a gritty reboot. lol
This come to no surprise as Disney went ahead with race swapping. Keeping it real is what made snow white popular.
