Why are gamers toxic for wanting games that are made for them?
That's like saying the customer who pays money doesn't matter and we all like ideology propaganda.

Because games are an art form. The developers and designers behind the game decide what they want to make and what audience they want to be appealing to.

Gamers demanding that games be "made for them", regardless of whatever form this takes, is a great way to destroy the passion developers might have for their art

That's fine. Developers can make whatever they want, but the studios are losing revenue. AAA Gaming in the West is crashing because games are becoming too expensive to make and not make a decent profit.

Because the West's mainstream media and journalism have been infested with radical leftwing activists pushing Messages, and the corporations have drank the woke cool aid and are also terrified of standing up to the activists because we know that the most fragile thing in the Universe is a mainstream corporation's public image, and they don't want that image to be tarnished by screeching liberal karens with blue hair and nose rings screaming at them on social media and throwing accusations of -isms and -phobias.

While wokeness has started to be abandoned in the West, it's still strong in corpos like Microsoft and Disney. These companies will be the very last ones to abandon wokeness, as the woke cancer is generalized in these corpos.

Yeah like the company of heroes games, Everyone wants the game balanced for them.

I lost, Game needs balance.

I won, The game is perfect.
If the gaming industry wants to make games that won't make a profit that's their right.

Gamers can choose what they want to spend their money on at least until streaming movies, music, and videogames becomes the only option to receive such content. Then you either pay for access to streaming or don't get to listen to music, watch TV shows and movies or play videogames. That's the future. Streaming everything.

Game streaming is still niche and GamePass isn't as profitable as Microsoft thought it would be. That's why Xbox is trying to bring their IPs and GamePass to other platforms.

Badass men. Hot women. Badass hot women. Where applicable, of course.

90% of gamers want to see at least one of these in their games. Not characters whose only purpose is to fill DEI checkboxes, as many as possible, for ESG bucks and praises from game urinalists and screeching liberal karens on social media, who don't even buy the games, they just support principles and ideas.

It's so simple to please the gamers, the actual PAYING CUSTOMERS. Just do this. Or you can push The Message and have your product crash and burn, but at least the screeching blue haired and nose ringed karens on social media will defend your game to the death against the "chuds" (the actual customers).

Should probably just get a new hobby if games aren't resonating with you. You don't pay for product and developer/other people get to enjoy their game. Simple as.

The state of the Western games industry is bad. People are choosing to play retro games over new releases because many new games are unpolished.

Games can be art, but they're not necessarily art by default. The vast majority of modern games are simply products, and products need to appeal to consumers. The problem currently is that developers and designers don't get to make what they want. They make whatever their producers and shareholders think will make the most money in the shortest amount of time. We'd all be quite happy to just let developers cook, because when they do it usually turns out well, but very few of them get to do that in this economy.
"Potential customers that lose interest in our products because of our product changes are toxic!"

No idea, the industry probably forgot how commerce works I guess...
Can't find a game that is for you? Skill issue, get good, etc.
because toxicity deflects scrutiny and has become the standard posture for brigades, who are unfeeling mercenaries and have become the normalized face of marketing.

maybe 1% of public opinion reflects personal realities, 76% is paid content for or against, and the rest is some form of trolling lying or deflection from the actual feelings of the speaker. typically by responding to the brigade content.
