I got an email with the password I only use at imgur telling me that if I don't send them $3200 they're going to show the world the video of me choking my chicken to filthy pr0n.

I don't have a webcam plugged into my PC.

In my imgur account is a bunch of memes, anime girls, and a partial screenshot of my investment account with about $3200 worth of stock.

Went to log into imgur, and my password doesn't work. Sigh.

Changed my password, Thankfully my filthy anime pictures and memes are all safe.

But you know it's surprising what you can deduce about someone just by breaking into their imgur account. 10/10 for effort, Better than the nigerian prince emails.

Yeah, I've also had those emails. One said 3400 dollars, then another said 2000 dollars. I almost wanted to respond asking why he lowered the price. Was what he recorded from my webcam I didn't know I had so bad that he had to lower the price?

I kinda felt insulted. Also, what if I was to answer with a, "How about we split the money 50/50 from the videos?" There has to be someone who enjoys those weird videos made by webcams that the person knows nothing about?

i had the "i'm sending through your microsoft account" scam couple of times. this one[malwaretips.com]
asked me to pay them with bitcoin lol otherwise they would release fake stuff of mine in social media lol. monitoring emails through haveibeenpwned and firefox monitor service for extra safety after changing passwords everywhere.

They sound kinda greedy. I would've only asked for $3199, leaving you with at least $1 to rebuild your investment account.
