Disney removes trans character from new Pixar series

Disney pulled a transgender storyline from “Win or Lose,” an eight-episode Pixar streaming series that debuts in February, the company said Tuesday.

“When it comes to animated content for a younger audience,” a Disney spokesperson said in a statement, “we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline.”

The character will remain in the show, but references to the character’s gender identity have been removed, the company said. The alteration involves “just a few lines of dialogue” near the end of the season.

The Blue Sky crowd is outraged, but seems like Disney is sick of the controversy and doesn't think appeasing the gender politics crowd is a good financial move. If they're taking actions like this, I expect to see other major entertainment studios follow suit.

that's actually the right-wing strain of trans organization which supports preserving current gender norms by portraying trans people as a third gender. an aberration to be mocked, ridiculed, and ostracized. visibly.

the original movements for trans rights fell apart because they adopted this paradigm for the same basic reasons the NAACP embraced black supremacy.

Yet more than happy to let Acolyte go on and burn for a while before it crashes most tragically and taken off life-support. a monster of their own creation they couldn't control and didn't know how to. They were so arrogant in their position trying to appear equality driven, they didn't once consider the fact that no one wanted that stuff pushed in their faces or their children, and now all of a sudden they care about it.

This is a humiliating step down for Disney. perhaps they should take a more measured patient approach and introduce a little at a time and limit how much is added so parents and children alike could have the option to explore it or forget it one day, it is after all their choice.
