I wonder if that's the moons motion itself or the moons nadir? Wouldn't you be racing the nadir?
Speed of the Moon’s Nadir:
Orbital Motion of the Moon: The Moon orbits Earth at an average speed of about 3,680 km/h (2,287 mph).
Earth’s Rotation: The Earth rotates at approximately 1,670 km/h (1,037 mph) at the equator.
Resulting Motion: The Moon's nadir (as well as its sublunar point) moves across Earth's surface at a rate of roughly 1,448 km/h (900 mph), depending on latitude and the Moon’s declination.
so really you need to dodge it.
a 60mph car can dodge a 550mph bullet.

(also mazda may or may not have invented the moon...)
