should i get a curved monitor?

I've had the same flatscreen 144 hz monitor for almost 5 years now and im considering switching to a curved 165 hz monitor

what are ur thoughts?

If you can, check a few out first. It takes a little getting used to, you'll see it when you see it.

I went back to a normal flat screen, simply because a newer one of those was cheaper, but for me it didn't really seem like a huge difference. While it is different, it's not any better or worse.

I have one. It's not a big deal. Really it's just a gimmick.

It was able to stand up by itself before I put the stand on. That's about it. It doesn't have any better picture than a flatscreen.

Content is not meant to be viewed that way. There's no way in a million years I could watch films or do my work on a curved screen. I think curved only came into existence as a workaround for the VA viewing angles problem, but plenty of large VA screens aren't that bad now. Depends how much you pay, I suppose.

I’d only consider buying 5120x1440 or 3440x1440 curved monitors. I have 29” 2560x1080 monitor and I’m totally fine with it.

If it's just for the 20 hz more, then that's definitely also a good idea.
A refresh rate over 120 hz is still enough for the next decade.

i had no issues, myself. gaming was kinda neat, my "productivity" wasn't hindered.
i have a normal screen now, however. i wouldn't specifically look for one again, i just got a deal on a used one and it was okay until i upgraded.
