I think, it doesn't matter to what one is addicted to. Being addicted, and meant as really being addicted, has its consequences. Addiction affects our brains, you could say changes them and that's why it has so profound hold on the person. How to solve it? Through time and effort and suitable treatment.

Well like most addictions if you cant get it you wont use it, so i suggest putting a blocker on your internet on the sites you use or if that's not possible. Just not using the internet or at least the content you are using to goon to for a while. Long enough to where you no longer feel the need to use it pretty much, goodluck OP i hope that helps and you can find a way to stop <3
