Second is people that look up how to play. Then just do that. No uniqueness. Nothing interesting about them. Just the same as the last 50 people I defeated.
Present: DLC in general. Because you know, remember when you could just buy a game, and actually get The Whole Game?? I would like for that to be a thing again. Or at the very least, just roll it back to Expansion Packs, instead of dozens of micro-transactions. Gacha also annoys me, if I wanted t o enter a raffle, I'd just enter a raffle, not play a video game...note that this does not include oldschool RNG in-game raffles prior to internet games, those I have no issue with.
Basically, I am adamantly against the idea of the dumbing down of society through destroying the attention span of people by injecting them with more dopamine than a corner store addict.
Hrgh!! I just cringed.
That sounds like a lazy mastering.
Who, what, did that??
The audio nerd in me feels like it just got kicked in the balls.
Well too bad, you don't have an option to disable it, you can either mess around in hex to find it or hope someone makes a mod about it.
You know go for this go for that.
Present: Temporal ghosting. Which so. Many. Games. Seems to have to some degree today. Even games without TAA. I don't know if it's everything being deferred now, or motion vector clamping not being enough of a thing, or what, but it seems like virtually every newer game, even on a 240Hz 1ms display, with TAA disabled, motion blur disabled, and no superscaling methods applied, even then, still has motion quality issues.
If not outright streaking in specific scenes of low temporal coherence, then at least limited outline ghosting in motion that vanishes when still. This didn't used to be a thing and my weird brain can never quite unsee it and it drives me nuts lol. I eventually just accept it and play after minimizing it as much as I can but sheesh.
There have been a few others, but I can't remember which games they were. I'll edit them in if I remember what they were.
Now, THAT is bad.
I love story oriented and tactical and strategic war simulations ... regrettably I have to stick with online gaming because of my security circumstances.
And so I get angry that there's aren't new genres being explored or offered, unlike in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Instead it's more FPS and RTS stuff ... more Armas, CSes, COD, BFs and so forth. And making the graphics more detailed doesn't make a game better. It can help, but the game is the game, not how pretty it looks.
