That's assuming he DID do it and wasn't the fall guy, anyway.
A net positive? He murdered some guy who wasn't even head of the company, and was immediately replaced. At the end of the day all he managed to do was murder someone.
hmmm
Sadly, the quote rings true in the real world.
Brian Thompson was literally the CEO, that absolutely makes him head of the company. For 20 years he participated in a company that let people die solely for profits, and just like many oligarchs and other greedy elites, he would've never faced prison time nor get punished in any other way nor change for the better. How do you expect the public to react when the justice system has failed to do its job by going after companies like UHC and the people profiting off of the death and suffering of others? Should the American revolutionaries back then just let the British continue to ruin their lives?
Except there's nothing they can do to him that would make things go to the pre-Luigi era of just taking it as it is.
If they hand him the death penalty, unlikely as that may be, they'll make him into a martyr and he will never be forgotten. Who knows how that will play out.
If they give him the maximum prison sentence, he will likely flourish in prison and write a book. That is if he doesn't get suicided or driven to insanity because it's doubtful they'll just let him ride it out in peace.
Either way, people will talk about this issue more openly. For example, true crime documentaries and maybe a big Hollywood movie will be made about him, and more importantly, why he did what he did. TC YT-bers already released some.
The discourse for fixing the utterly broken system that is the healthcare in the leader of the free world (rolls eyes) will always be alive.
I personally hope he gets a mistrial or acquitted altogether for whatever legal reason.
One evil billionaire CEO responsible for denying life-saving medical care with a body-count in the millions, gets "YIPEEE YAHOO WAH HA'd!" in the streets... Everyone loses their freaking minds!
