Opinion On Circumcision?
Is circumcision really such a bad practice?
It seems to have more positives than negatives like reducing risks of infections later on in life but I've seen guys get a bit testy about the subject uwu

Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) - Article 3:

"Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person."

Security of person, meaning bodily autonomy; no child should have their body mutilated at birth.

the biggest issue with circumcision is that it usually involves the mutilation of an infant with no ability to consent to an irreversible change that will affect them for the rest of their lives

the other issue is that the "benefits" are miniscule/flimsy (if you're incapable of basic hygiene, you have much bigger issues), heavily outweighed by the negatives, and made up ad-hoc to justify something that's just done because of cultural/religious reasons

the benefits are life vs death for millions given that it was able to stop an entire HIV epidemic

wow I've never heard of that actually, guess it's good for something, though it should still be voluntary
