Cartoons are better now than they were in the 80s
They all were vapid and soulless back then, they just had a random monster of the week and the characters were all bland stereotypes, I'm sure He-Man and She-Ra and the others were great back then but by now they have aged

In my opinion, the first "Modern" Cartoon was Batman the Animated Series, even though it was 90s, but since then we've gotten Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, Avatar The Last Airbender, Samurai Jack, The Owl House, Phineas and Ferb, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, Amphibia, Gravity Falls, Batman Beyond, Teen Titans, Star Wars The Clone Wars, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Futurama, Danny Phantom, Primal, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Animaniacs, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Dexters' Lab, The Powerpuff Girls, Amphibia, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Young Justice, Over The Garden Wall, Infinity Train, Red vs. Blue, My Life As A Teenage Robot, Invader Zim, Spongebob, The Fairly Oddparents, Clone High, Clerks, Freakazoid, The Critic, King of the Hill, The Looney Tunes Show, Darla, The Venture Bros, and Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life

I just think that shows from the 90s on were way better than shows from the 60s to 80s.

Only modern cartoon (2010s and up I guess?) that I've seen and loved was Kaeloo, season 1 only because its the only one that got dubbed over here and it was straight up mental, completely unhinged, 7 minutes of pure laughter.

It just so happens that its also a show I can't watch anywhere because I'm not French, damn it.
It's okay. We all have bad opinions one way or the other.
Between the 60s and 80s cartoons went from a "for everyone" thing to "lets sell more toys to kids!" and then in the 1990s went "Hey... What if we made cartoons that didn't treat the audience like idiots, or make toons that make us laugh instead of just for promoting toys?"

Now the modern stuff, as in the lazy "cal arts noodle arm" style that is more recent 2015 and up like Teen TItans "GO" and the D.E.I. "woke-era" toons are absolute garbage because of how preachy they are.
The Real Ghostbusters was great. So was Ducktales, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers and Inspector Gadget. Many people would probably defend Gen. 1 Transformers and The Smurfs too.

Plus if we're counting movies, All Dogs Go to Heaven was released in 1987 and that movie ain't nothin' but soul, which is to say nothing of the fact that Disney tried, and succeeded in assassinating it it by releasing The Little Mermaid that same week in the box office. An American Tail was made just the year before too.

Bluth was pretty amazing in the 1980s and forced Disney to step up their game.
The 80's had one of the best cartoons ever made, Duck Tales. Disney decided it cost to much to make such a high quality product every year, so it was canceled. The longest running cartoons were created before then, although some of them have been censored and additional episodes added, such as Scooby Do, Loony Tunes, Flinstones, Tom and Jerry. Most modern cartoons will be quickly forgotten due to cringe content, but a few might be able to survuve the test of time.
OP, we're in the 2020s. Not the 1990s.

Yeah they were getting owned by The Care Bears during the 80s, ffs. The Care Bears was kicking their corporate a$$es.

Not surprised when they had their blood clot to the brain that was Black Cauldron. What a pile of f**king $hit that movie was. Nearly killed Disney Animation. They nearly adapted LotR into that abomination, Tolkien fans dodged a bullet there.

90's were the best....Freakazoid to tiny toons had crazy depth to them that i picked up on things in my later years i never saw when young.....

as a kid i found it funny scooby do was pointing out the fact old white men were evil.....transformers was a ploy to sell toys like GI JOE.....jabber jaw was someones bad drug trip....
That was the 80's, but the cartoons from the 50's thru the 70's were the best.

Point proven. You used something from Futurama, one of those cartoons I listed as being great.
