But Squirrel and Hedgehog is still kino and so is the soundtrack.
even though people like nas, kanye, kendrick, MF DOOM, Jay-Z, and even newer artists like travis scott have been pushing the boundaries of music and constantly making 10/10 songs/entire albums, people still find a way to hate.
Who would inspire a generation of emo
it takes inspiration of rap and hip-hop and metal usually with subliminal messages.
wouldn't say so, nu metal fan here. met some that listened but most of the times i was seeing the people prefering screamo or hardcore etc, not nu metal.
Bring me to Life became a hit in 2003, it was considered a crossover between nu metal and goth metal for obvious reasons. The rap vocals were forced by the label because they wanted to market it in the musical landscape of the time. Which included Korn, Mudvayne, Six Feet Under, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Static-X, System of a Down, Slipknot etc
But I also love 80's metal, my favorite Metallica song is One. I like Megadeth too. I can get into basically any genre from the 80's. Metal, rock, a little bit of country, Michael Jackson... I never really cared for pop music unless it's a really good song. But pop music like Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, etc..... Nah. Just nah. I also like some really old school rock, like Chuck Berry. I like a little bit of Blues too
Yes but not always goth
as example : Simple and Clean

and the 90's reaches into the early years of 00
Yeah seems to be the case globally when it comes to metal. All branches of it regardless lol
Well Evanescence always had their own sound tbh. Goth elements, nu metal elements, hard rock spice here and there. Crossover nevertheless. Well i consider 90s to end in 2k and from 2k to 2010 to be the 00s but yeah you get the meaning. Korn were skyrocketed in the 90s with Blind and Shoots and Ladders. Linkin Park with the entire Hybrid Theory album. (also nice vocals on the vid you gave.)
i dont really mess with metal all that much, the only ""metal"" band i truly like is king crimson and those guys are prog rock anyways. But i can 100% where the appeal comes from for metal, the music is full of energy and gets u goin extremely easily.
But for the country thing, I just don't like it for the same reason as the easy listening stuff. It seems lazty to me. I like my music to have some passion or movement. JUst a taste thing.
