Whats your favorite Mario character and game?

My fav character is Diddy Kong and my fav game is Mario Kart Double Dash.

My favourite Mario characters are Donkey Kong, Koopa and Dr Mario, my favourite Mario game is Super Mario Galaxy 1 (ONLY the first one, I don't like the sequel), and Super Mario 64 is very close in second position.

Mario is in Punch-Out. Would you consider Mike Tyson a Mario character? If not, why not?
Because technically Punch-Out is a game-title which has Mario and another character in the game. In that sense Mike Tyson is not any different than, let's say princess Toadstool.
Or does a favourite require to have "Mario" in the title to qualify as a Mario character?
