How do I create a .exe file that opens and runs in the background (doing nothing) until I close it?
See title

For a 'custom status effect', but that's not important.

Refer to title if you're confused about what I'm asking.

Actually, you title says very little but how do I make an .exe.

So, here you go.

Custom Status Effect. Huh.

I imagine you want to link it with something, like say, Steam, and have it running in the background so it says you are either playing something you are not, or so that you can give yourself a status, like "I am eating Tacos."

If you aren't into programming, you could just grab a copy of an existing application. E.g. copy notepad.exe, rename it to whatever you need and keep it running minimized.

Thank you. And yes, something like 'Eating Tacos' is exactly what I'm trying to do.
