RIOT partnering with steam? LOL on Steam?

Earlier today i sat back and thought about it. It would be convienent to have league of legends launchable by steam. I may be wrong but i feel it would be nice and easier to access. If you have any input on why this would or wouldnt be good for steam/Riot be sure to post your comments. Open to any Opinion you have over this.

From that il take a guess it used to be on Steam and was removed..
To be honest i do not see a reason for RIOT to come on Steam and share there profit.. they are known and have a big user base.. so why will they need to come to Steam for?

Good point. Honestly i feel it would drive more people to steam in a sense. The league community is huge. But i dont know how big in comparison to the steam community.

its probably smaller.. but some do not like MOBA so will not be there even if it was on Steam

Also like Minecraft they are known.. its a game that almost every one know abut like also WoW.. they can be a stand alone.. as they are so known that Steam is not really helpful for them.. its just going to take there profit and not be worth much for them i think

Riot is wholly independent. The league of legends community is so large that it self sustains. Coming to steam would create a partnership, a partnership that would only provide benefits to steam and little to riot honestly. I doubt they will ever utilize steam, at least for league of legends. If Riot ever created some other game in the future. Maybe they would work with steam, although they have experience making stand alone clients and so quite honestly they probably do not need a 3rd party platform (which would be steam in this case.)

Riot Games is in direct competition with Valve's current cash-cow, it won't be a harmonious relationship.

Dota 2 is already here. Oh no, imagine both the LoL and Dota 2 communities in the same place. It would be terrifying.
