I suppose it's to be expected. Just like people accustomed to English Standard get confused by Metric. You're right, it is more precise, but there's nothing for it unless it becomes a standard.
I work on classic American and German cars all the time and have to deal with both... I'm Bi-measurable.
Somehow, despite superiority, that's not as appealing as bi-curious. I have no idea why.
It's pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ standard with Nintendo. Their handhelds have been using 24 hour clocks exclusively since their handhelds have had clocks. I'll never understand why Nintendo insists on forcing it on people let alone why they ever started in the first place. At least the PSP gave you a choice.
I think the part that throws everyone off is having to pause and do the mental math with subtracting 12 because sadly, we have become accustomed to using calculators. People usually give up on looking at my clock and just ask me what time it is.
In basic 12 hr format:
000 (Midnight) - 1200 (Noon)
1200 (Noon) - 000 (Midnight)
This may be a tad confusing to non 24h users.
Anyway, I don't need to make any mental math and such, I mean, it comes easily (to me at least). If I read 14:06 I know instantly they're saying 02:06 pm.
If I'm not wrong nobody told me it's weird or something else, I guess it is normal here.
Technically it's 0156 where I'm at. ;P
