It's very old so it doesn't have the best graphics, but I loved playing it when I was younger and customizing things.

It checks all the boxes
I came across this also looking for a decent "aquarium simulator". In RL, currently have a 29-gallon tank that I'm going to soon be upgrading to a 55-gallon or bigger tank. The fish I have are doing good, but there are quizzical things I notice from time to time, like a molly occasionally nipping at another fish, etc.
And while I can and do research about the fish and figure new stuff and small hidden bits out, would be awesome to have an aquarium-simulator with real-life fish breeds and such, that could attempt to authentically simulate the different behaviors and personalities of different fish, how they interact, how they should be fed, etc... sort of the "educational simulator" type (which back in my days of much earlier gaming days [started out when the original Pac-Man and Donkey Kong were still "new" concepts], that's what simulators were typically meant to be, educational).
Could work well for the young folks to learn about fish, how to keep fish, and/or simulate a virtual-aquarium if their parents don't allow them to have fish, and equally work well for, again, people such as myself that would have a lot more fun and retention of fish knowledge in a fun/simulator setting, rather than reading forum and/or website, one after another after another, trying to retain it all in a rather dull, "yeah, this is because of that, then this happens, and then you have this thing over here" (*snore*) format.
EDIT: @jolierobin - Thanks for the link, that's definitely along the correct direction of where I was looking to go!
I believe this one is what you looking for.
