Companies just should dump everything chromium based.
Edge has to do with any window that pops up, for example a dialog box with a warning. So if you remove Edge, you will have issues with Windows in general. At least, that's my understanding.

So much this. All you can do is turn it off, you can't remove it. It's built into the system.
