As long as you're not using Internet Explorer, you should be fine.

I use Firefox on my computer and Dolphin on my phone.

I'm asking because my firefox just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up today somehow, half of the pages are untrusted so i can't even open them, some images do not show up on facebook etc...i already reinstalled and it still happens, so after 5 years of using firefox i'm thinking of trying a new one, but i'm not sure which one, if opera or chrome.

Internet explorer-piece of garbage that does not support anything thats not from 1990s, crash on every sites and has nothing good

Google chrome-fastest, but takes up lots of resources. has good and lots of addons.

Firefox-use it as a second/primary browser with google chrome, it's more or less.
Firefox tends to have crashing issues and closing is slow

Chrome or firefox...your choice. I personally got used to firefox.
Steam browser is even worse than internet explorer, use it ONLY as ingame browsing.

Firefox runs really good and they publish updates regulary.
also it never crashes, thats a lie. never crashed on me.

Chrome is really slow.

Edge is also good if you have Windows 10. Otherwise just go for Chrome, imo it's the best.

Yes i installed chrome and i like it so far, it also seems to be faster than mozilla

If it is about a combination of security, interface and ease of use, then I would probably choose Avira Scout - based on Chrome with the database of Avira.

You can find detailed description about it and about popular browsers too in this article > http://sensorstechforum.com/which-is-the-most-secure-browser-for-2016-firefox-chrome-internet-explorer-safari-2/

It is cool that people still research such things.

Good luck!

Firefox. I thought that was settled years ago.

@Pork Eating Crusader - Why Firefox and why settled years ago?

Haha - well everybody has a different opinion - for me a browser is like a language - forever changing... so with the emergence of more browsers and features I keep using more and more browsers. If somebody is searching for new ones to try like me it might be a good idea to research. As I was searching, I just found an Opera-based browser > Vivaldi. Seems pretty neat!

I end up using firefox anyway.

It has been like this since forever.

Yeah, sites usually make top 10s...

I would like to see an extended list with all these browsers you linked compared to Epic / HTTPS Everywhere / Avira Scout / Vivaldi / Tor / IceBrowser / Aviator / the Comodo browsers / Dooble and etc... It would be really interesting!

EDIT: What I think is that is a matter of preference, but for security and updates, there are facts and all browsers should be compared.

Which version? I use the Dev edition, but it is a bit slow for me...

that thread is 8 months old...

But browsers didn't stop developing then - they are still adding new features to them and there are better browsers since then...
