stargate game

Why isnt there a stargate video game, like a open world one! (not the one for the, I think, sega genisis and gameboy.) You could make a pretty good open world game!

Aside from the nes and snes/genesis games, there were two cancled games (one an mmo), a shooter which had the servers shut down, but apparently fans managed to get unofficial servers up, and Stargate SG-1: Unleashed for phones that is an adventure game and I know nothing more about than that.

Sorry. I missed a comma. How silly of me. Nope, the MMO was canceled, the Shooter is the one running.

The content is so vast that, until there's a paradigm shift in the game development process, this game will be stuck in development hell.

Unfortunately the SyFy channel killed Stargate when they changed the classic action/adventure formula that worked so well for the first two series by doing "focus groups" on what they thought was "Hip and Edgy and Younger" with SG Universe... So many good movie series and shows have been lost to the whole "hipper, edgier, younger" thing, I don't know why companies keep doing it.

A game would be amazing, mainly because you could add extra content so easily just by adding a new Stargate address.
