Are all of Valves games connected together in story?

I know Half Life and Portal take place in the same universe, but beyond that, I doubt there's any connection between other franchises.

I don't think Ricochet, Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike, or Dota belong in the same universe.

There's debate as to whether Team Fortress is tied into Half-Life and Portal, though. I don't know enough to start a discussion about it but maybe a Google search will turn some things up.

Counter Strike and Left 4 Dead are in the same universe. CSGO is a prequel to L4D.
HL and Portal do take place in the same universe. TF2? I think it could go in with HL1 and Portal.

I keep hearing that CS+L4D theory, and it makes no sense to me.

Payday from Overkill has the only solid fps connection to L4D. And TF2 has no means of a connection to any of the worlds, unless you are saying that is what humanity evolved into in Portal 2. Deformed monster people.

HL+Portal are the same universe
DoD is said to be before CS ( i mean like 1940's dod then CS like i belve 2010's)
Then theres a theroy that CS is before L4D like the T's blew up someting that released the green bile, but thats just a theroy so idk on that.
Tf2 it is its own universe
DOTA and alien swarm i have no idea they might or might not be idfk

There is no reason to believe that L4D, TF2, DOTA or AS are connected to any of the other franchises universes. It wouldn't make any sense, and L4D + CS is a bit of a stretch.

Most of the targets by Ts in CS are infrastructure, ordnance or objects with cultural significance, and as for the timeframe, I'd say CS takes place in the '90s or early 00s since many things in CS appear to be inspired by events and culture of those decades. Which makes sense given that CS was developed in that exact timespan.

My Payday observation was. Again, not a Steam game, but yep. Connected.

I could see TF2 and Alien Swarm, but only by bringing in another companies game, Dungeons of The Endless.

And Day of defeat seems to be the preasessor to Counter strike

TF2 has no connections ot outher universes

DOTA and Aliens swarm i have no idea

Then i was saying i dont know weather to beleve the cs+l4d theroy wait i said there is jsut what i heard i dont know on it though we have to wait for a offlitic source on it.
