I'm thinking of buying a new computer for gaming.
I was looking online on Best Buy and I found a computer that I am thinking of getting, but I know nothing about computers. I was hoping someone could look at it and tell me if it's good or not so could someone look it over? Here's the link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-ultra-desktop-amd-fx-series-8gb-memory-500gb-hard-drive-black-blue/4297900.p?id=bb4297900&skuId=4297900#tabbed-customerreviews :steamhappy:

I posted the link for the review page... :steamfacepalm: If anyone clicks the link, go to specifications on the page it takes you to.
The issuer might not be the computer itself, but the service your getting it from. Cyberpowerpc kind of has an iffy track record, so I'm just making you aware of that. I got my Pc pre-built from ncix, a group based out in canada, very nice service. Might recommend looking there. And your probably going to get a million people to tell you to do it yourself, and that's also on the table, case in point, it not the easiest to learn, it's possible to do. As for the actually PC itself, looks nice. heh
Do you think it's good enough for most games on Steam or is there something better you would recommend? I'll probably check out those guys you mentioned too just for another option.
well, first off, what budget are you looking to have with this? Any particular games your looking to play maybe?
I would recommend buying a computer from anyone BUT Best Buy. Best Buy is incredibly overpriced on their products.

Looking for a computer is rather simple. Get as high of specs as you can fit in your budget.

A fast i5 or i7 processor...no AMD processors...they are more hassle than they are worth.

A fast video card with about 3 or 4 GB of VRAM.

At least 12 GB of good RAM.

Latest OS.

A solid state drive if you can get one...these things are awesome.

My budget would be probably up to $600. If there's a computer that costs more then that's fine but I probably won't spend $1,000. Lol
I bought Resident Evil 6 and due to my lack of computer knowledge it doesn't work at all. I'd like something that can run current games and possibly new games.
if buying pre-built computers, look at newegg.com, tigerdirect.com, bestbuy.com:

There are tons of threads and people that can help you with this if you posted in the proper forum, like the "Hardware and operating systems" fourm right here on Steam.

Those two look pretty good. Which one would you say is the better one to get?

For some reason I thought that page was for Steam Machines. Thanks for the info though! I'll make sure I use that next time I have a question about computers.

I kinda want a PC more than a video game console. I'm kinda tired of buying a console only to buy another console due to games not being on the first console. Lol

one with gtx 950 (newer tech than gtx 750ti) but slower cpu

the one with gtx 750ti has faster cpu.

it is your dilemma now. :)
(though in my opinion, either set is good; price does not include monitor)
