Anyone else play with mouse acceleration on?
I find it very easier to play, especially shooters. I use very low sensitivity because it's easier to aim, but if I need to turn around and do a 180 I have to do a whole manoeuver with my arm to do it. My mouse pad isn't that big which makes it hard. This way I just do it quickly and it works. That's why I use mouse acceleration, I've been playing like this for as long as I can remember. People say it's harder to play with it, I disagree. I have no problem playing like this. I have tried turning it off but just couldn't last longer than a day or two. What are your thoughts on this?

Edit: spelling.

Hi Im Swat Sep 23, 2024 @ 8:00am
I always controller.
Nevah!
In-game mouse acceleration usually sucks.

I have several DPI settings on my mouse I can switch. Also a low DPI button I can hold for precision. These newfangled fancy mice are great.

My mouse, an onn gaming mouse, which I got for 5 bucks at a Walmart has various DPI settings, I just keep it on the middle DPI setting.

It's not accurate, therefore it sucks, and it will always suck.

Set it off instead for mouse accuracy!

Not really.
It all comes down to how you use it.
Like I said. I need low sens for aiming, which is great, but also need high sens when I need to turn around and twitch over to the other corner, which works for me.

Can't say I do, as that hurts your own memory in the short run.
Let's say, you do wanna develop the muscle memory for that to make the aiming all natural; Welp, now you won't because the mouse will accelerate at random inputs dependable on how fast you react at that moment, making it all the more difficult for your brain to adapt to that.
-> The result? You will end up being a tad bit off the mark because of the inconsistent experiences tricking the brain and creating overlapping memories.

Even if I were to have a small mouse pad, I'd increase DPI or sensitivity and be done with it.. As I will get used to it overtime, but to get used to something that keeps changing at random intervals?
No way, I can get used to that..
