I liked Starfield. But I am an old-man and it reminded me of Oblivion. Realistically- they should have evolved beyond Skyrim/Fallout 4- not backwards, so I get why people are upset.

So they have an opinion ... so what? Did they expect every Bethesda game to be perfect?

Last time I checked it required the modding community to make some of their games more playable but at least they give the community that option. In that they are deserving of a ton of respect.

Personally I like Bethesda. Not only that, but I don't expect imperfect people to make perfect games.

I will say I don't believe being bought out by Microsoft was one of their better moments but that goes back to people, too. Follow the money ...

Anyone who expected a DLC to change Starfield into a totally different game experience, doesn't understand games enough to post videos about games.


(Starfield is just an "okay" game, not as good as their previous ones. It's primary issues are baked into the core gameplay loops & foundations of the game. No DLC, mod, or patch is going to be able to change that.
However, their next game, whether TES or Fallout, isn't going to have those issues, since it're not going to be a game with a million low-interest procgen maps separated by large amounts of forced fast travel.)
