the hot sauce could be used to help make a tata of a lizard or animal perhaps or help in cleaning it a bit of a few extra bacteria that might be unfriendly.
If I was on my last legs I would use it then, that is if I was practically giving up.
Like if you're lost at sea with no water and catch a fish, you don't eat the meat, you only eat the vitreous humor in the eyes. Because that's mostly water.
Would work better, probably?
yes I have been in that situation in the past of needing water to eat.
the scenario i would use the hot sauce would be the last ditch thing.
People pay attention to MinionJoe's post over mine.
Good writing. Nice imagery.
OP, I would NOT drink a bottle of hot sauce. I would grab a bottle of water out of my pack instead. Why would anyone pack hot sauce? Something doesn't add up.
Sounds like you were trained by Bear Grylls himself.
It's also really not a valid way to hydrate yourself at all - the urine of a dehydrated person has almost no recycling value and is often directly harmful. Even pristine and fresh urine from someone perfectly healthy is flat out not good for you.
Bear Grylls's show is performative entertainment and honestly most of the things you see him doing are great things to *avoid* in a survival situation.
(They are all smart asses btw)
