very bad :GDInsane:
How will i control my panel now
When I can't use Windows 10 anymore I'm switching to Linux.
I still miss the dog and other characters from XP who would search for files on my computer when I prompted them to.

Microsoft why
I thought they said they aren't now?

Will God Mode and Super God Mode still work?
I'm sure it'll still be sold in the microsoft store as multiple apps.

I looks it up and sees https://www.theverge.com/2024/8/27/24229436/microsoft-windows-control-panel-removal

https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2024/08/microsoft-formally-deprecates-the-39-year-old-windows-control-panel/

Still sounds like they are getting rid of it "eventually"

"Many of the settings in Control Panel are in the process of being migrated to the Settings app,” says Microsoft."

i think they basically need remove any single thing and then wait if outcry is enough, widnows to me is like the grandparents attick there is so much trash in it its like unraveling ancienti greek artifacts if you want to find anything, linux included but at least it can be a distro issue, widnows itself is like that in any state. like 1970s sweater with some new things attached.
Doesn't the settings app do all the same stuff anyway? I'm assuming they're keeping that.

They should remove the kernel. That's a feature no one will miss.
This is totally misleading, and just a rehashing of what Microsoft has been trying (and failing) to do since 2012?

Use Windows' "Godmode."

Look it up. :) I have access to everything I shouldn't have access to...
This just keeps on getting worse and worse as October 2025 approaches but what can you do.
The entire tech industry for at least a decade has been taking away choices, burying menus and options to where only power users would even look, "minimal" design with no icons, dumb hamburger menus...

The direction is quite clear.
