Look I truly am sorry you don't understand basic comprehension but it is what it is.
You say "why didn't you say that then?"
But note the wording. I REPEATED what I said the same way, so if you understood it a second time, that's on you.
if you were to re-write or clarify your position, then you could claim you were being frank. but you're not doing that are you?
please cease.
Stop trying to twist this.
I was being frank, and I explained. You didn't get it, so man up and stop being so ridiculously bent out of shape.
It's ionic you say "but you can't tell what I'm thinking" yet you're fine with doing that by saying I'm rude when I've said otherwise.
Now if you want to drop it then drop it. But if you respond, I'm going to too. That's how discussions work.
so you don't think you were being rude because....i'm twisting things?
just stop and take a break from the internet crunchy.
Look, now you're being ridiculous. You asked to stop too, and yet here you are. Again, I will respond if you keep making up falsehoods. You truly want to stop, stop.
If you keep twisting what my intentions are, I AM going to keep responding. So stop being childish, and just move on.
Every time you whine and make stuff up, I am going to defend that. As is my right to do so.
So stop being silly. You made a mistake, I do it all the time. Just move on and grow up.
Agree.... or.. if they end up on the short end of the discussion they flag the thread to close it...
Sore losers I guess... some people have to gatekeep and create false narratives because that's the only way to control their little piece of the world.... and when it gets out of their control, they lose it.... literately.
Truly weird indeed.
and apparently, i am now the puppeteer. i suppose *my puppet* will reply to this comment as well and dance for all our enjoyment.
It tends to be more younger users who behave this way, but not exclusively.
It has nothing to do with age.
It has everything to do with tolerance (or lack-there-of) of others, & of differing viewpoints, & of differing styles of communication, & of different priorities... and sometimes even intolerance of unpleasant facts.
So, there's a lot of things that those "good reasons" have entailed before but to get into, what I consider to be the most important one...
All too often, what people (not just the users on the forum, but also the real world people that they try to escalate things through) forget when having conversations on this forum & becoming faced with any sort of disagreement is...
Well, #1, disagreement & criticism on a PUBLIC forum isn't harassment, but more importantly...
It's still a public forum for everyone who Valve & their agents haven't banned to contribute to.
Quote from Valve as seen here:
https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/
The authority of deciding who should or shouldn't be posting rests with the Community Moderators, & Steam Support, & Valve agents, in general - not the other users.
⠀⠀
Yea no we have rules here under
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6862-8119-C23E-EA7B
Of course there are rules & it's up to the moderators to enforce them, not the users.
This is exactly the point of my previous post.
I don't know who was making that claim, that you're stating, but it wasn't me.
You understand the part of that article that says "No Backseat Moderating", do you not?
Yet, often times, users who can't handle different viewpoints, differing ways of communicating, or disagreement, will start making claims about who does & does not belong here - despite the fact that they lack the silver-star or green "VALVE" label of authority to actually make that determination.
This leads to users having a bad time & perfectly decent conversations getting derailed.
That alone should be a bannable offense.
Oh, but we get into a whole other issue, that despite what it says on the main page (which I quoted in the above post), SOME people still try to engage in privilege escalation, by claiming that someone disagreeing with them or remembering something inconvenient for them is engaging in criminal behavior such as "harassment".
(That actually works sometimes, by the way.)
People who attempt to engage in that type of privilege escalation via false claims (& by trying to use real world events to undermine the civility of the forum & the moderation team's authority) (which to put it as forgivingly as possible, is flaming) & wind up getting banned, get banned, very rightfully so.
...and despite whatever positive qualities that they may have had, qualities that I miss, I get over it very quickly when I remember those one or two qualities that were so incredibly negative & how incredibly toxic that some of them were towards others.
Then gatekeep the gatekeepers.
Depending on the circumstances one can either disagree or report a post.
Civil disagreement is my personal favorite for bullies; disagreeing with the negativity (without adding more negativity, so, no labels, no insults, just sticking to the facts) shows to the person that is being singled out or picked on that they DO matter to others and / or that some of the people around them find the behavior of treating others as if they are lesser than, to be reprehensible & intolerable.
