Having celebrity crushes and obsessing over them during a relationship is disgusting.
This is emotional cheating and is disrespectful to either partner.
Learning someone has a crush on a celebrity during the relationship is an immediate turn off, no matter how much I love them.

What about the actors who played the Menendez brothers?
Eskimofo 19/out./2024 às 5:51
nope. Just your values, just your opinion

Wow, that's really controlling and immature. Just because you're in a relationship it doesn't mean you're dead. What you've described is not cheating at all. Nor is looking at other people when you're in a relationship. You're naive and deluded if you seriously think you'r partner is only attracted to you exclusively.

Trying to control who someone is attracted to just because they are currently in a relationship with seems abusive to me, and would be a good reason to dump them immediately. Seems like a red flag to me, part way down the path to those that physically or verbally abuse their partners because they think they looked at someone else the "wrong" way.

when I was into a girl, she asked me if I could name anyone hotter than her.
I said shakira (she was just breaking through with those hips and ass)
and she totally agreed. so it not have to be a problem xd

What does it actually mean to have a celebrity crush? Is it subjective?
I think it can be quite extreme like the one girl years ago who made that video about her love for Justin Beiber, for most people I guess it's a combination of attraction plus the allure of fame and fortune. Most people don't take their celebrity crushes seriously but some people can be obsessive. One guy over here was jailed for planning to kidnap and murder his celebrity crush.

For real?
A rational person would know that their partner is never going to meet that celeb so they have nothing to worry about.
100% you have some famous people you are attracted to.
Live in the real world.
It does seem to suggest dat OP suffers from insecurity, dat bein’ said, I don’t has any famous peeps I’m attracted to, so it’s entirely possible dat OP doesn’t either. :doge:

I've even seen on one site years ago someone had a crush on sonic the hedgehog and it was quite extreme they said they would let him kill them and they would do any manner of gross things for a fictional character.

Nothing wrong with Celebrity Crushes, but I do find it kind of insulting when people say

"If I ever meet XYZ, we're breaking up! Sorry I love you but you're no (Insert Name Here)

That's literally the opposite of love.
Now see, dis is a good position to take right here, if chu would leave chur partner fir someone else jus cause der famous, den chu don’t really love chur partner. :sunglassesDoge:

I see, so a component of obsession and god forbid compulsive actions have to be there. I mean we can just look at some of the *cough cough* kpop fans.

Well, then y r some people defending this obsessive behaviour in a partner above? No one would want a partner whose emotionally partly available or unavailable.
I think it's only obsessive in more extreme cases and probably affects young teens more I think. For most older people, it's just a silly playful fantasy, nothing serious.
