I hate anime without a dub

Why is subs so popular? I absolutely despise watching anime without an english dub.

That's fine. You enjoy it the way you want.

Some people believe that sometimes there's a certain quality that's lost in the localization and redubbing to English. The delivery of lines just isn't the same, or the Japanese VA brings a certain emotional delivery that the English speaking VA does not. You can still pick up on this with the original voices and subtitles, even though you don't understand the words.

I get why some people prefer dubs though. It's easier to enjoy the art and animation if you're not staring at the bottom of the screen all the time reading subs.

Not worth it, diluting your communication abilities by knowing a lot of languages is a big mistake. It's better to be an absolute master in one or the most - two languages.

Because English voice actors used to be terrible.

The only bad english dub I ever experienced was by watching the Higurashi series, the original one, but even then, I got used to the dub after the second episode and it was pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good overall.

When I watched the second season which didn't have a dub, it didn't really give me the same vibe as the first season with the dub.
