Good, that nobody got banned. Maybe now users will stop linking cringelords like that and focus more on their own opinions on these forums.
In an ideal world this would work, but you know today you will be canceled for it also twitch is VERY sensitive about it so it's rather should I than could I
I got banned for posting excerpts from Sharia Law and making a Simpson's Sneed joke.
Well Sharia Law is terrible and it's invented by man so there's that. But anyway.
I am grown up with humor in the 80s.. stereotypes galore.. even plenty of ones taking the pick on jews (oh we pick on ourself as dutch and germans and americans and anybody.. plenty too)
the "ohoooo" you should not say that feeling of those jokes being a little "over the edge" was exactly what made them fun.. while basicly nobody in the audience really thought bad of any of these groups.
today indeed cancel culture is starting to ban people for WAY milder stuff than that.. 99% of the comedians of the 80s and 90s would be out of a job before even starting their career.. and if possible rewrites books and movies to remove all traces..
I see it as just to stand proudly in the face of that and NOT conform to that treat..
the middlefinger to cancel culture.
"rather dead than slave"
"rather cancelled than bend my free speach"
being cancelled these days is a badge of honour.. in means your on the good side of society.
while I agree.. that should still not be reason to ban somebody.
it may have lost him a few subscribers.. or frown a few eyebrows and thats all it should do.
No, they aren't. But if we are going to DIVIDE into different cultures, we should respect the borders we set ourselves. While I find most regrettable and unfair how Islam treats women, it is not my, or anyone else's call, to try to forcibly change that.
We all seen the video about some palestinians openly saying to western LGBT activists supporting Palestine that they "don't like them and don't want to have any business with them", in way more polite terms than the one they used themselves. We talk about communities who casually kill gays, so yes, asmongold is right when he say they are horrible peoples.
But the left can't accept that he's right, because they instinctively understand that all their worldview will collapse as a result. Leftists can't face realities, because they've gone against realities for so long they'll be completely destroyed as a group if realism make a come back in our societies. That's why they prefer to cancel the guys who analyse correctly the situation or explain how dumb their ideas are. Because they know saying the truth is what may completely destroy their ideology.
But they'll don't escape their fate forever, reality always win at the end, sooner or later. You can't avoid it forever.
Lets' not sugar coat it, he did NOT criticize Palestine. He was pretty ignorant and brutal about it, and acknowledged it somewhat in his apology.
And I agree with you, but we are in bizarro world where words are violence and hurt fee fee’s are a bigger crime then physical assault and robberies.
But he kinda went above name calling there.
Let's not sugar coat it for real : he's right and everyone knows it. It's just another "kill the messenger instead of accepting bad news" event, what's not rare in History btw.
Don't blame peoples for brutal honesty, because that's exactly what we need right now, to stop being idiots.
