Buying a new computer need advice
So my computer was built 2020. I bought it in 2021 (Asus i5 tuft) . It's fan is making noises like a Tiger Tank. After talking to the tech person, It would cost around 180 US dollars.
1) Therefore, I think buying a new computer is better right? This is a better decision?
2) I want a cheap gaming computer please tell me what you pick. (I am a poor med student. I am not dropping 1200 US dollars on a computer)

Please don't judge and say why you don't make a new pc. No time for that right now.

$ 499.99 -MSI - THIN GF63 15.6" 144Hz FHD Gaming Laptop-intel core i5-12450H with 8GB Memory-RTX 2050-1TB SSD - Black

You should be able to reuse your existing case and drives.

I`ve blown the fans on every laptop i ever owned and every one has cost more than triple those prices.
Buy a cabinet instead.

Does it HAVE TO be a laptop?
If you don't want to spend "gaming computer" prices then you'd probably be better off upgrading what you currently have. Unless that's a laptop and you are unable to upgrade it, in which case do you understand why I advise against a laptop?

why cant you just replace the fan yourself if its the only issue
The fan is not that expensive to replace its a $10 max part attached with 1 connector and a few screws

Just use pcpartpicker.com and search for budget builds.

Find a Sugar Momma. Plenty of them would be happy to sponsor a med student.

Just wait until the new graphic cards hit the market, they will be trying to clear out old stock, so you might get a good deal.

agree.

Replacing a fan should NOT cost $180

Get a second opinion or buy a screwdriver and order a replacement fan on Amazon for like ~$30 max.

Also, don't buy "gaming laptops" they're such a sham.
