And fast forward to 2024 where California police agencies going green with Tesla's complain they’re ‘nearly unusable’ as squad cars.

The Crown Vic is hands down the most slept on and underappreciated patrol car

Taurus SHO was interesting.
most of the cop cars i see are now Dodge chargers, the fancy ones, and Dodge SVU's there are also lots of undercover Dodge Chargers , keep a look out for a dodge charger the next time you see one, see if you can spot the plates or the low profile lights.

There's a reason MacFarland has been buying Crown Vics for races at the Freedom Factory and not Caprices. :mashyourmotor:

Dartmouth had a home-grown auto company that was making all their police cars. Most modern (80s+) designs are based on them, although heavily watered down to shore up manufacturing margins and associated mineral trade relationships.

i prefer the box chevys to the bubbles for looks, but for an interceptor the crown vic was GOATed for a reason
I'd say I buy a lot of "Panther Platform" Crown Vics and Grand Marquis... But I'd be lying because the damn things last forever, so I'm stuck with the 3 or 4 I still have for random reasons with anywhere from 70k to 450k original miles on non-rebuilt engines and transmissions.

It's the only car I say is more reliable than a 1990s Toyota Camry.

They can barely even use the "unibody" chargers and Explorers without totaling them with the most minor of collisions.
