Biggest game disaster in 2024
The gaming awards are coming soon, so I tried to make a list of some of the worst game we have seen here in 2024.

Many will most likely say that the Concord is the single biggest failure here in 2024. But try take a look on Ubisoft´s long list of failed games. They got like 5-6 defect products this year.

But we have also seen some good games like Black Myth, Palworld, W40K Space Marine 2 etc.

Worst game
Star Wars Outlaws - Ubisoft
Skull and Bones - Ubisoft
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League - Rocksteady Studios
Undawn - Lightspeed Studios
The Crew Motorfest - Ubisoft
Homeworld 3 - Blackbird Interactive
The First Descendant - NEXON Games Co
Once Human - Starry Studio
XDefiant - Ubisoft
Tales of Kenzera - Surgent Studios
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn - A44 Games
Concord - Firewalk Studios
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown -Ubisoft
Unknown 9: Awakening - Reflector Entertainment Ltd.
Dragon Age The Veilguard - BioWare
Foam stars- Toylogic
Life is Strange: Double Exposure -Deck Nine
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Top games
Palworld - Pocketpair
Last Epoch - Eleventh Hour Games
Black Myth: Wukong - Game Science
Helldivers 2 - Arrowhead Game Studios
Stellar Blade - SHIFT UP Corporation
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - Saber Interactive
Metaphor: ReFantazio - Atlus

Prison Architect 2 sold as many copies as they could and never released. Its already almost a year later.

1.) Concord. 400 million down the drain
2.) Skull & Bones. "Quadruple A" title that bankrupted the company
3.) Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Killed Rocksteady's reputation

The first descendent is good. Just lacks replayability because end-game has no variety. Those who stuck with it after release maxxed their characters and pretty much finished the game.

Top game is undoubtedly Black Myth: Wukong

My personal top game of 2024:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1361210/Warhammer_40000_Darktide/
Came out 2 years ago, but released multiple content updates that basically turned it into a newer better product.

Followed by Zenless Zone Zero.

Ubisoft does deserve criticisms. BUT, honestly, Ubisoft-hate can't make up for the fact that Concord limped into release and then unalived itself because it was over-hyped and largely unacceptable to its target audience. It was a non-product product and was pulled, no matter its production value or money spent.

There's enough players for some of the Ubisoft games you mentioned to qualify them as actual working, enjoyed (assumed) games.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is probably the biggest, active, failure.

Definitely ungood numbers.

I keep waiting for Darktide to finally hit it's stride. I'd been wanting to get into it since the beginning, but the playerbase imploded and I saw no future for it.

only rivaled by the day before

Well those numbers for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, are a bloodbath and a PR nightmare. What the execs / upper echelons in Warner Bros were smoking? :steamlaughcry:

Obese megalodon has a reputation for bad releases with games gradually getting fixed afterwards. Vermintide 2 was the same lol.

People.

Concord is the worst of the worst, massive budget, promised so much, it's release was so underwhelming and mired by issues and not being original enough compared to free to play alternatives, it sank without a trace.

No other game is ever going to match that unmitigated disaster of a performance. in fact i don't think there is a game out the last few decades that i know if that has performed so atrociously within the first few weeks of launch than Concord.

They also made a animated serie for Concord, but I don´t know if that is going to get released.

Yea definitely Concord. it's the obvious answer but the correct answer

Just heard that Deck Nine announces a new round of layoffs, so I gonna guess that Life is Strange: Double Exposure kinda failied on the market due to poor sales.

Also Indiana Jones and the great circle is already a major disaster for Bethesda with bad numbers of players on release day.
