Heck, I'll do you law better, in my state, there used to be a law which forbid full face coverings due to KKK activity during the 1900's. They changed that law during covid thou.

If only the whole world would follow this law/rule/commandment! So many good looking people ruined their bodies with that stuff! 🙁
Really, it's kinda hard to see how they're not disrespecting themselves, because they don't seem to think about what that tattoo is going to look like forty years from now. You put that ink on as a young person, when it seems like a good idea, and then when you change your mind twenty years later it's just a constant reminder of how stupid you were.
I think our policy on tattoos has changed, so now troops are allowed to wear visible ones in uniform, and twenty years from now, that policy will be reversed because it's retarded. The stuff that some guys choose to get put on their forearms is often either try-hard gay, or borderline pornographic. Of course you can't go around wearing that crap in Japan! Restricted to barracks!
I know, that seems a bit ironic given the often very bizarre sexual culture of the Japanese, but it's their country. If they say no tattoos, then there are no tattoos. Doesn't matter why. They have their reasons, and it's not our place to mess with them.
My respect for people subconsciously degrades the second I see ink all over. Not really an intentional conscious attitude, maybe just the sense that they have to attach themselves to all kinds of stuff to 'be' somebody. 'Look at me, I'm special and unique.' 'Just like everybody else.'
Same goes for over the top 'social causes' crap, bumper stickers and clothes, "I have to wrap myself in all this garbage to show you my value as a human being without it I'm an empty shell and I'd have to face myself"
Tattoos are frowned upon, but it's becoming more prevalent. Especially in places like Shisha bars, hostess clubs, and other such establishments.
Tokyo is the place where you'll find the most resistance to tattoos, but even then, if you're a tourist a lot of people will generally be more understanding.
However, if a place rejects you, it's better to just accept it and move on.
Also if a westerner has tattoos it can still be frowned upon but it is way more accepted by them due to them acknowledging we come from a different culture.
I m not inked and neither i wish to get any tattoos ever, cuz i feel that i might regret it later in my life.
But i feel that if something likes it and wants to get inked, it’s okay, it’s their choice. They shouldn’t be boycotted just for doing the thing they like.
That’s “inhumane” and “cruel” according to me.
Again I mean no offence to anyone, the thing is let them live the way they want to right. Getting tattooed is not a big deal at all.
ofc in some places like Japan, if tattoos remind them of bad past, it’s alright, but that doesn’t means that every single person with tattoo is a goon, at least not the school girls with hello kitty tattoos like cmon man seriously. (Now yes ofc kids getting tattooed is a different thing but yk what I mean right)
