Could a lightsaber cut superman ?
I was just thinking about this and I have no clue haha. This is assuming he is on earth and there is no kryptonite. And if it can who would win ? A Jedi or superman? Jedi vs superman- dawn of Jedi

On another note could it cut Adamantium or Vibranium

Superman.

For a lightsaber to be effective, it would have to give out the same light and radiation as Krypton's sun in order to weaken and injur Superman. At the same time, it would have to happn in a dark place, where earth's sun couldn't "charge" him. This would basicaly make him "human" and not as invincible as he normaly is.
This

I was thinking of putting Kryptonite in a lightsaber.

of course, there is literary freedom so since a lightsaber can cut anything, then it can penetrate superman's skin.

lana lang has hurt the feelings of clark kent. imagine how much more can a lightsaber do damage.

in a real fight between jedi and sith combo versus superman, superman will always win due to his speed, laser eyes, and strength.
he can lure the jedi into the dark side by 'join me and together we will destroy the sith'.
he can lure the sith into the light side by using his laser eyes to lit the candles in a dark room :tank:

It might work Spawn. In the KoTOR games, we could customize our lightsabers with add-on crystals that add properties to the blade. The thought of a kryptonite lightsaber is something that could happen in a Star Wars / DC comics crossover... poor Superman if it actually works.

But not any crystal would work with a lightsaber.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightsaber_crystal

"At the heart of every lightsaber was a set of crystals that resonated to produce the efficient, powerful blade."

If the crystal didn't resonate, then it wouldn't work. Aside from that, I don't remember kryptonite being a crystal, but a stone.

http://superman.wikia.com/wiki/Kryptonite

Though some crystaline forms have been shown, the structure would be diffrent as it is not a natural formation, such as the crystals used in lightsabers.
speaking of which, what about mental strength? How well can Superman withstand Jedi Mind tricks, etc? I mean he's been in situations where he has been fooled by similar powers before.

But doesn't the Jedi Mind Trick only work on the weak willed? Superman certainly isn't weak willed.

But the lightsaber can not cut everything, for example, other lightsabers, special rods with some kind of current running through it and most likely energy fields of some kind. There may even be more substances it can't cut.

Unknown. It could possibly melt them, but seeing as this is all fictional and there will never be a cross-over to test it, I doubt we will ever know.
Why won't there be a crossover? Disney owns both now

Because StarWars is set in the far past of our world. Its a fairtale in space, which is why it starts with "A long time ago in a galaxy far away"

Marvel has no need for Jedi. What is a Jedi compared to a mutant like Jean Grey or Charles Xavier? What is a Jedi next to someone like Magneto? And those aren't even some of the more powerful examples.

Also in a universe in which a literal hell dimension exists and no embodies good and evil force exists.. how would you explain the force?

It would basically go like Rocket seeing a Jedi and being like "There is one of those religious nutjobs, explaining psi power as some 'force' nonsense"

And just for the sake of the record... Marvel has been doing StarWars comics for much longer than Marvel being possessed by Disney.

Fairtales and Contemporary Fiction doesn't mix well.
That won't stop Disney from milking the cash cow of a crossover

Disney doesn't care about the fans, they'll do anything to make cash.

So they're basically like every company that's ever existed?

Superman would beat anyone. He is a character meant to have no limits - he is not meant to be beaten.
death battle
superman vs saitama now
Considering he naps in the sun or whatever, I very much doubt it lol.
That is a really good question.

I think it could cut him.

Superman would beat the Jedi.
