Now I will give my cute monster genre ranking, feel free to give yours, as well:
Digimon - this is first for me because I like how the monster can go from cute to legitimately badass. The whole digital world theme is interesting, too and I like how it mixed in elements of surrealism to the setting.
Pokemon - one of the most unique things ever created with an extremely distinctive art style and aesthetic with quintessential mechanics
Monster Rancher - also cool, but not as charismatic or uniquely defined as the other 2
Nexomon - I like it, but it's a straight up Poke rip
